4-Metal Density Cubes Set with Hooks, 32mm, Lead-Free (Brass, Copper, Aluminum, Steel)

This set of four density cubes with hooks includes brass, copper, aluminum, and steel specimens. Each solid cube measures 32 mm (1.25 inches) on each side, with a total height of 2 inches including the hook. Each cube (except steel) features a stamped element symbol for easy identification. The set includes a snap-top plastic storage case. The hooks allow the cubes to be easily lifted from water and massed using a spring scale. Cube masses range from 50 to 400 grams. An included instruction manual provides background on density, specific gravity, and specific heat, along with three student activities with capture sheets and a lab practical quiz. These cubes are designed for educational use and have tolerances in the plus or minus 5% range of stated dimensions. Due to the nature of raw metals, some surface oxidation may occur during storage and can be removed by light scuffing.
