The Curated Chemical Collection

Every chemical we carry is here for a reason. We curate our catalog around the experiments, classrooms, and research workflows that actually use these reagents—so the chemical you need is the chemical you find.

Sourced for Real Lab Work

A lot of distributors stock chemicals by volume—whatever moves, whatever fills a warehouse. We take a different approach. The Curated Chemical Collection is built around the reagents, solvents, acids, bases, stains, indicators, and prepared solutions that science teachers, lab managers, researchers, and procurement teams ask for again and again.

That means you'll find the chemicals required for AP Chemistry labs, microbiology staining protocols, titration procedures, pH calibration, biology dissection prep, and the everyday reactions that keep classrooms and research labs running. What you won't find is filler—obscure SKUs that sit on a shelf for years, or duplicate listings of the same product across five vendors.

We curate so you don't have to.

Laboratory, Reagent, and ACS Grade — Clearly Labeled

Every chemical in our collection is sold with its grade clearly identified, so you can match the purity to the application. We carry:

  • Laboratory grade — Suitable for general lab use, educational experiments, and demonstrations.
  • Reagent grade — Higher purity for analytical and research applications.
  • ACS grade — Meets or exceeds American Chemical Society purity standards. Used in procedures with stringent quality requirements.
  • Biotech grade — Ultra-high purity suitable for molecular biology and biotechnology workflows.
  • Food grade — Meets FDA requirements for food contact or food processing.

Most of the chemicals in our core collection are manufactured in the United States by ISO 9001 certified producers, with GHS-compliant labels, safety and storage information printed directly on the bottle, and color-coded caps that make inventory organization simple. Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are downloadable from every product page.

Built Around How Labs Actually Work

The Curated Chemical Collection spans the categories that show up in real lab purchase orders:

  • Acids and bases — Hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, sodium hydroxide, ammonium hydroxide, and the common concentrations used in titrations and neutralization reactions.
  • Solvents — Acetone, isopropyl alcohol, ethyl alcohol, deionized water, and the workhorse solvents that show up in every chemistry lab.
  • Organic and inorganic compounds — From sodium chloride and copper sulfate to glucose, formaldehyde, and the salts and reagents that anchor general chemistry and biology curricula.
  • Stains and dyes — Methylene blue, crystal violet, eosin, safranin, and full Gram stain kits for microbiology and cell biology work.
  • Buffers and indicators — Pre-made pH buffer solutions, calibration kits, and universal indicators, including EZ-Prep capsule versions.
  • Specialty solutions — Biuret reagent, Benedict's solution, and the prepared mixes that save lab prep time.

Don't See It? We'll Source It.

The Curated Chemical Collection covers the chemicals most labs need — but "most" isn't "all." If you're working on a project that calls for a reagent we don't list, a specific concentration, an unusual pack size, or a grade above what's on the site, reach out.

We have established relationships with the manufacturers behind our core collection and access to a much broader sourcing network. There's a good chance we can get you what you need, often at a better price than you'd find buying piecemeal.

Tell us what you're looking for. Include:

  • Chemical name (and CAS number, if you have it)
  • Grade and concentration
  • Quantity or pack size
  • When you need it by
  • Whether you need an SDS in advance

Chemicals Shipped the Right Way

Laboratory chemicals come with shipping and handling requirements we take seriously. A few things to know before you order:

  • Ground shipping only on most chemicals. They are not eligible for expedited or free shipping promotions.
  • Hazmat fees may apply to certain products. These are flagged on the product page and calculated at checkout.
  • Export restrictions apply to some chemicals; international orders may require additional documentation.
  • Returns are not accepted on opened or unsealed chemical products, for safety and chain-of-custody reasons.
  • California Proposition 65 warnings are displayed on applicable products.

If you have questions about whether a chemical can ship to your address, or what's involved in a bulk or institutional order, contact us before you check out and we'll walk you through it.

The Right Chemicals, Right on Time

Whether you're stocking a high school chemistry classroom, restocking a university teaching lab, or sourcing reagents for an R&D project, the Curated Chemical Collection is built to make that purchase straightforward. Browse what's on the site, or tell us what you need next.
