Hoffman Voltameter with Glass Stopcocks, Borosilicate Glass

The Hoffman Electrolysis Apparatus is used for demonstrating the chemical composition of water and the production of gases through electrolytic decomposition. The borosilicate 3.3 glass unit consists of two 50ml capacity outer tubes graduated in 0.2ml increments, connected to a central tube with a 200ml-capacity funnel-shaped bulb. The kit includes platinum electrodes in rubber stoppers for the electrolysis of acidified water, and carbon electrodes for use with ammonia solutions, hydrochloric acid, or other chloride-containing solutions. An instruction guide is also included. A support stand with clamps and a 12V DC power supply are required but not included.
