Seismograph Model for Earthquake Wave Demonstration

This seismograph model is a hands-on teaching aid for exploring the generation and recording of seismic waves. Students pull the supplied paper strip manually while jumping near or gently shaking the surface, and the resulting shock waves are traced by a marking device for comparison with real seismic records. The model is supplied with one roll of paper; a pencil or similar marking device is required but not included. Designed by subject-matter experts for classroom use, the sturdy construction supports repeated use in geology, earth-science, and math classrooms and educational exhibits.
