This hand and table microtome is designed for section cutting when preparing microscope slides. It features an adjustable dial delivering 10 microns per click for precise control of section thickness. The unit includes a cutting razor and can be clamped to table tops up to 1.4 inches thick.
The brass plate measures 2.95 inches in diameter, and the apparatus is approximately 5 inches wide and 4 inches tall. It is supplied in a wooden hinged storage case measuring 5.5 inches long, 8 inches wide, and 3.5 inches tall.
