H-Type Potometer with Glass Reservoir and Graduated Capillary Tube, 14 inch

This 'H' type potometer is made from glass and consists of a 6-inch long reservoir tube (3 inches wide with side arm, 0.75-inch diameter) and a 7-inch capillary tube with a 1mm bore. When assembled, the potometer measures 14 inches in length. A cut shoot is attached to the side arm with tubing, and the wide glass tube acts as the reservoir. Potometers measure the rate of water uptake by a plant cutting, providing an indirect measurement of transpiration rate. Suitable for individual student use in biology classrooms studying plant physiology and water transport.
