This 500mL separating funnel is made from borosilicate 3.3 glass in a pear shape, with a glass key stopcock and an interchangeable 24/29 plastic stopper. It is ungraduated. The funnel works as a separating funnel, holding two immiscible liquids and drawing the lower layer off at the interface, and as a dropping funnel delivering reagent into a vessel below. The glass key stopcock meters flow down to individual drops for either use. The pear profile tapers toward the stem, concentrating the boundary between two liquid layers into a narrow band so the cut point is easier to judge by eye. The fully transparent borosilicate wall keeps the interface visible along its travel. The funnel measures 9.5 inches tall upright with a body 3.75 inches across at its widest point.
