This expansion adapter is fabricated from borosilicate 3.3 glass and provides a transition between a 40/38 socket and a 24/29 cone, allowing connection of laboratory glassware with different ground glass joint sizes. The adapter measures 4.4" in total length and 1.75" in total width.
The borosilicate glass is autoclavable, with heat tolerances of: Strain Point 515°C, Annealing Point 565°C, and Softening Point 820°C.
