Economy Spectroscope Tube with 500 Lines/mm Grating

This economy spectroscope tube uses a 500 lines/mm diffraction grating to split light into its component wavelengths, allowing observation of emission and absorption spectra from various light sources. Light enters through the slit at one end and is dispersed by the grating at the opposite end, producing a visible spectrum. The spectroscope is lightweight and easy to use — simply hold it up to different light sources to observe which wavelengths are present. The tube measures 10.25" long with a body diameter of 1" and end diameters of 1.15". Suitable for classroom demonstrations and home experimentation with incandescent, fluorescent, LED, and natural light sources.
