The Eisco Sensors Light Sensor measures light intensity across three selectable ranges: 0 to 1,000 lx at 1 lx resolution, 0 to 6,000 lx at 1 lx resolution, and 0 to 150,000 lx at 22 lx resolution, with a sample rate of 10,000. This range allows for data collection in environments from dimly lit classrooms to bright outdoor settings. The sensor requires the Eisco Sensors Base Unit, which is available separately. It enables students to collect and record light data for experimentation and analysis across a variety of subjects, including earth science and weather studies, behavior of light and light filters, and photosynthesis investigations.
