WiFi Sensor Module

The Eisco Wi-Fi Module plugs into the bottom of the Eisco Sensors Base Unit and broadcasts a self-contained Wi-Fi network, allowing sensor data to be streamed directly to laptops, tablets, and smartphones without requiring an internet connection or external network. If a local network is available, users can optionally connect to it instead. Once the module is plugged in and allowed 2-3 minutes to boot, the network appears in device settings as "Eisco XXXX," with the digits corresponding to the specific module in use. Users connect through a web browser to access the same graphical interface available on the Base Unit's handheld screen. One user operates in Control Mode to manage and run experiments, while additional users can log in to View Mode to observe data in real time. Control can be released and passed between users as needed. The Wi-Fi Module draws significant power from the Base Unit. While it can run on the Base Unit's standalone battery, extended sessions should use the USB cable to connect the Base Unit to wall power or a computer.
