This three-dimensional DNA model kit provides a hands-on tool for demonstrating the structure of the double helix. The kit includes color-coded, snap-together base pairs representing adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine, along with phosphate connectors, sugar ribbons, flexible helix strands, a center rod, and a weighted metal base with assembly pin. Rubber bands attach to the assembled components to form the helical twist.
Once fully assembled, the model stands approximately 45 cm (18 inches) tall on its 13 cm base and can be rotated freely for viewing from all angles. The durable plastic construction allows for repeated assembly and disassembly, making it well suited for biology and genetics instruction. Intended for ages 14 and up.
