This Kidneys and Blood Filtration distance learning kit from Innovating Science allows students to explore the role of kidneys in blood filtration and waste removal, and to understand the structure and functional tasks performed by nephrons. Students create an artificial kidney model to filter simulated blood and visually determine whether filtration occurred, then perform chemical tests on the filtrate to detect waste material.
