American Chemical Society Investigating Your World Chemistry Activity Kit for 8 Groups

This Investigating Your World chemistry activity kit is a series of activities developed by the American Chemical Society and funded through grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Institute of Health. The activities take students on a global tour to meet scientists from around the world while exploring chemistry through hands-on experiments. Materials sufficient for 8 groups. Students perform experiments involving gas production, color changes, precipitate formation, and chemically-induced temperature changes. The kit includes citric acid, sodium carbonate, sodium bicarbonate, calcium chloride, universal indicator, dish detergent, bromothymol blue, student thermometers, vials, spot plates, color charts, pipettes, balloon, drinking straws, cups, self-inflating reaction bags, foot warmers, scoops, and spoons. A teacher's manual, student study guide copymasters, and safety data sheets are included. For laboratory use only.
