Diffusion and Cell Size Activity Kit

This Diffusion and Cell Size Activity Kit from Innovating Science provides hands-on materials for studying the relationship between cell size and diffusion efficiency. Students create simulated cells (agar blocks) of different sizes and examine how effectively a substance diffuses into each cell over a set period of time. An indicator within the cells allows students to visualize the degree of diffusion. The kit includes materials for 15 groups of students, along with a teacher's manual and student study guide copy masters. It is designed for biology instruction at the secondary level.
