Diffusion and Cell Size Small Group Learning Lab Kit for 5 Setups

The Diffusion and Cell Size Science Kit demonstrates how a smaller cell volume creates more favorable conditions for material exchange across a cell membrane. Students create simulated cells (agar blocks) of different sizes and examine how effectively a substance diffuses inward over a set period. A special indicator in the cells provides visual evidence of diffusion progress. The kit includes 25g agar, 10mL Bromothymol Blue concentrate, 25mL hydrochloric acid (2.0M), 6 agar block casting trays, 5 plastic cups, 5 plastic knives, and 5 plastic stirrers.
