Plant Food Nutrient Deficiency Small Group Learning Experiment Kit

This Plant Food experiment kit explores the effects of nutrient deficiency on plants. Using specially prepared nutrient solutions, students create a controlled hydroponic setup to deprive radish plants of one of seven specific vital nutrients and observe the effects over time. The kit teaches the 16 essential plant nutrients and the differences between macronutrients and micronutrients. The kit includes solutions of calcium nitrate, potassium nitrate, magnesium sulfate, potassium phosphate, sodium phosphate, sodium nitrate, magnesium chloride, sodium sulfate, calcium chloride, potassium chloride, micronutrient solution, vermiculite, plastic cups, absorbent wick pads, and radish seeds. Materials for 3 complete setups. Containers (1 liter or larger), distilled water, paper towels, and zipper bags are required but not included. For laboratory use only.
