DNA Paternity Testing Electrophoresis Lab Kit for 8 Student Groups

The DNA Paternity Testing Electrophoresis Lab Activity uses DNA fingerprinting to allow students to determine if a potential father matches a child's DNA profile by comparing electrophoresis patterns from the child, mother, and two possible fathers. The kit contains enough materials for 8 groups of students and includes a Teacher's Guide and Student Study Guide copymasters. Kit contents include 200mL prepared agarose (0.8%), 500mL Tris Borate EDTA Buffer (5X), 60mL DNA Stain (20X), and DNA samples for the mother, child, and two potential fathers (10ug each).
