Underwater Fireworks Acetylene and Chlorine Reaction Chemistry Demonstration

This Underwater Fireworks demonstration kit allows students to explore the reaction between acetylene and chlorine gases in an exciting visual demonstration. Calcium carbide reacts with water to generate acetylene gas, which then collides with chlorine bubbles, producing flashes of light underwater. The kit includes 250mL sodium hypochlorite, 30mL of 1.0M hydrochloric acid solution, and 10g calcium carbide lumps. Aligned with NGSS standards.
