Water to Wine Chemistry Demonstration Kit

This chemistry demonstration kit explores acid-base indicators and complex ions through a series of visually striking color-change reactions. Three colored chemical solutions are mixed to produce a wine-colored solution, then adding sodium fluoride turns the solution clear. The kit includes 10 ml potassium thiocyanate 1.0M solution, 15 ml thymolphthalein 0.04% solution, 15 ml phenolphthalein 0.5% solution, 5 g iron(III) chloride 6-hydrate, three 25 ml bottles of sodium fluoride 1.0M solution, 10 ml hydrochloric acid 32%, and 10 ml ammonium hydroxide 14.8M (28-30%) solution.
