Salt Toxicity Kit

This kit provides materials for 8 groups to compare the effects of sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, and calcium chloride on radish seed germination under controlled conditions. Students generate concentration-response data for each salt and use the results to estimate the concentration associated with a 50% response, or LD50. The kit includes premeasured sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, and calcium chloride QuickSolutions, radish seeds, germination trays with lids, pipettes, cups, and stir sticks.
