Net Primary Productivity Kit

This kit provides materials for 8 groups to measure oxygen-related changes in an aquatic plant system and investigate net primary productivity. Students compare conditions that influence oxygen production and consumption to examine the balance between photosynthesis and respiration and connect the results to energy flow in ecosystems. The kit includes manganese chloride reagent, alkaline iodide reagent, sulfuric acid, starch indicator solution, sodium thiosulfate titrant, pipettes, and sample bottles with caps.
