Spherometer with Brass Dial Head and 3 Stainless Steel Legs, 2.5"

This Eisco Labs 2.5" Economy Spherometer features a 40mm brass dial head with three stainless steel legs and a 1mm pitch micrometer scale (0–10mm). Used to measure the radius of curvature of spherical shapes, most commonly lenses. Based on the principle of a fine screw moving in a nut on a three-legged frame, this spherometer is commonly used in optometry and physics. Students calculate curvature from the measured sagitta. Suitable for physics classrooms studying optics and precision measurement.
