Materials Kit for Physics Exploration

This Materials Kit Solids contains two of each of seventeen different material blocks, designed to familiarize students with the appearance, feel, texture, hardness, and density of common substances. Standard 50 x 40 x 30 mm blocks include softwood, hardwood, paraffin wax, aluminium, iron, and foamed polystyrene. Additional 20 x 20 x 100 mm blocks include perspex, glass, slate, aluminium, softwood, and marble. Other sizes include lead, brass, and additional aluminium and hardwood blocks. Suitable for physics and materials science classrooms studying density, mass, volume, and material properties.
