Boyle's Law Apparatus, Standard

This Boyle's Law apparatus demonstrates the relationship between pressure and volume of a gas. The unit consists of two glass tubes — one closed at one end, the other open at both ends — connected by a long rubber tube and mounted on a cast iron base attached to a wooden board. A wooden meter rule is included for measurement. The J-shaped tube configuration allows students to observe how changes in mercury column height correspond to volume changes in the trapped gas.
