This set combines a hand vacuum pump (PH0166B) with an acrylic bell jar (PH0176CN8) for a complete vacuum demonstration system. The pump plate comes with a rubber seal that facilitates an airtight connection with the bell jar. The plate is also compatible with electric vacuum pumps. The improved acrylic bell jar measures 25cm and provides clear visibility of experiments conducted under reduced pressure. The system is suitable for demonstrating vacuum effects including the Magdeburg hemispheres, boiling at reduced pressure, and sound propagation in a vacuum.
