Using the included handheld vacuum pump, students evacuate air from the sturdy metal can and observe it collapse under the force of external atmospheric pressure.
The kit includes a vacuum hand pump, stopper, and hose fitting. The dramatic visual effect of the collapsing can makes this an engaging demonstration for students of all ages. Supplemental replacement cans are available separately (PH0201603RPL).
