6-Tube Capillary Pressure Demonstration Apparatus with Metal Frame

This Capillary Tubes Apparatus demonstrates the relationship between capillary pressure and the bore diameter of capillary tubes. The apparatus consists of a metal frame with a base trough, an upper frame supporting 6 capillary tubes, and 6 bore holes fitted with corks. When the trough is filled with water, the difference in water column heights in the various-bore tubes becomes readily apparent. The total apparatus measures approximately 7.5 inches tall, 3 inches long, and 5.5 inches wide. The 6 capillary tubes have outer/inner diameters of 8/4mm, 7/2mm, 8/3mm, 6/1mm, 8/2mm, and 5/1mm. Suitable for physics classroom demonstrations of capillary action, surface tension, and fluid mechanics.
