Whitley Bay Smoke Cell Kit for Brownian Motion

The Whitney Bay Smoke Cell Kit is designed for visualizing Brownian motion in gases. A molded plastic housing contains a cylindrical perspex condensing lens, an LED bulb, and a smoke cell, all pre-set at optimal distances for focusing light into the cell. Smoke is introduced via the included squeeze bottle and delivery tube. Brownian movement resulting from the random impact of molecules is then observed through a compound microscope (not included). Integral flanges on the plastic housing serve as securing points for microscope stage clips. The kit includes coverslips and instructions. A 12V DC power supply and compound microscope are required but not supplied. Chamber dimensions are 4 inches long, 2.7 inches wide, and 1 inch high.
