The EISCO Falling Bodies Apparatus demonstrates the effect of gravity on falling objects. An L-section launcher with holes locates two 19mm diameter steel balls. A push-button release projects one ball forward while allowing the other to drop vertically, demonstrating that both reach the ground simultaneously.
This classic experiment proves that horizontal velocity does not affect vertical acceleration due to gravity. Suitable for physics classrooms studying projectile motion and gravitational acceleration.
