Elastic Material Kit for Elasticity Experiments

This Elastic Materials Kit allows students to perform experiments exploring elasticity, compression, extension, torsion, and elastic limits. The kit includes 2 foam blocks (5 x 2 x 2 inches), 2 large springs (5.5 inches tall, 2.25 inch diameter), 25 small springs (2.25 inch length, 5/8 inch diameter), 1 strand of rubber tubing (3.5 feet long, 0.25 inch diameter), 2 coils of 1/16-inch copper wire, and 4 elastic cords with 1-inch diameter metal loop ends (10-inch stretchable elastic). The variety of materials allows students to compare elastic properties of different substances. Suitable for small group experiments in physics classrooms studying Hooke's law, springs, and material properties.
