Collisions Kit with 48" Track, 2 Carts, and Slotted Masses

This Collisions Kit introduces students to collision physics in terms of momentum and conservation of energy. The kit includes a 47.63-inch collision track, 2 collision carts, 2 sets of 3 slotted masses (50g, 20g, and 10g), 2 support feet with leveling screws, 2 photogate support rods with holders, a pulley, and an instruction booklet with teacher's guide and reproducible student guide. The pulley system allows external forces to accelerate carts, and the support rods accommodate a photogate system for accurate data recording. Required materials not included: photogate system, mass hanger and slotted weights, balance, masking tape, string, level, meter stick, stopwatch, protractor, and books for ramp support. Suggested for grades 9-12 physics classrooms.
