This battery-operated ticker tape timer is a modern version of the established method for measuring velocity and acceleration. A vibrating striker prints dots on tape using carbon discs at two selectable speeds: 25 or 45 dots per second, operating on 12V DC supply. The unit is housed in a scratch-proof, shock-absorbing plastic case with an aluminum clamping plate for bench or dynamics track mounting. The kit includes 2 rolls of ticker timer tape, 1 pack of carbon discs, and a tape holder that mounts on a 7/16" diameter lab stand rod. A 7.5" x 6.5" battery board holding 8 D-cell batteries is included for situations without external power. Batteries not included.
