Convection Tube, 380 x 300mm

This convection tube is made from borosilicate glass, bent into a rectangular shape measuring approximately 380 x 300mm and fitted with a filling funnel. The 20mm outer diameter glass tube demonstrates heat convection in liquids. When one side of the rectangular tube is heated, the warmed liquid rises and cooler liquid moves in to replace it, creating a visible convection current. Suitable for physics classrooms demonstrating heat transfer by convection.
