This block-style copper calorimeter is a 1kg cylindrical mass designed for determining the specific heat and heat capacity of different materials. The mass is adjusted to an accuracy of +2%. The calorimeter has two holes: a 12.5mm diameter hole for an immersion heater and a smaller 7.5mm diameter hole for a thermometer or temperature sensor. The copper construction provides known thermal properties for accurate heat transfer calculations in physics experiments.
