This energy transfer apparatus consists of a small, low-consumption electric motor mounted on a base, designed to run directly from the output of a solar cell. It demonstrates the direct conversion of light energy to electrical energy and then to mechanical energy. The motor is fitted with a 2.5-inch fan and 4mm sockets on a base measuring 4 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 1.3 inches tall. When connected to a compatible solar cell (not included), the fan rotates to visually demonstrate energy conversion principles for physics instruction.
