This equilateral triangular prism is made from durable, highly polished acrylic material. The prism measures 3 inches (75 mm) in length, with each face measuring 1 inch (25 mm).
The prism is suitable for optics experiments in physics classrooms, including demonstrations of light refraction, spectrometry, and wavelengths. It produces a visible rainbow when used with any standard light source, including the LED of a smartphone directed through a narrow slit.
