Product Description

This hollow equilateral acrylic prism measures 45mm and is designed for use with a ray box. The hollow interior can be filled with different liquids to study how the refractive index of the medium affects light refraction. By comparing light behavior through the empty prism versus one filled with water, glycerin, or other liquids, students explore how material properties influence the bending of light. Suitable for physics optics experiments.
