Direct Vision Spectroscope in Metal Case

This direct vision spectroscope is housed in a metal case and features a 600 lines/mm holographic replica grating that delivers bright, high-resolution spectral lines. The instrument allows the user to observe a slit spectrum of light decomposed by an optical system, with a graduated scale marked from 400 to 700 nanometers covering the visible spectrum. The spectroscope measures 7 x 4.75 x 1.125 inches. Plastic vials with a mount for the spectroscope are included. The spectra superposition on the graduated scale allows measurement of the displacement of spectral lines, making this instrument suitable for studying wavelengths and light composition in physics classrooms.
