Product Description

This Student Polarimeter uses a monochromatic yellow LED light source and simplified construction to make the topic of polarized light accessible to laboratory study. Polarimetry is used to measure the rotation of plane-polarized light by optically active substances. Provides an affordable introduction to a topic typically restricted by the cost of precision instruments. Suitable for post-16 physics and chemistry courses studying optics, polarization, and optical activity.
