Product Description
Product Description
This mini sonometer is designed for investigating how the pitch of vibrating strings varies as a function of tension, length, and thickness. It features a hollow resonance box with three adjustable strings: two adjusted by wrest pins and one at the center adjusted with loads or a spring balance.
A 60cm scale is printed on one side between two fixed bridges, with multicolored segments for easy reading and 1cm smallest divisions. Two movable bridges allow the effective vibrating length of each string to be changed for systematic frequency measurements.
Suitable for physics experiments covering wave properties, frequency-tension relationships, harmonics, and the physics of musical instruments.
