Eisco Labs Economy Aluminum Tuning Fork for Physics, 320Hz (+/- 5%)

This economy aluminum tuning fork is tuned to 320Hz, with tuning held within ±5 percent of the stated frequency. At 320Hz that tolerance spans roughly 16Hz. The fork is suited to demonstrating resonance and wave behavior, but the stated frequency should be verified before being used as a known value in a calculation. The fork produces a sustained single-frequency tone, drives a resonance column, and generates audible beats when sounded against a fork of nearby pitch. Aluminum construction keeps it light and gives it a usable ring after a soft strike. The fork should be struck against a rubber block rather than a benchtop or hard edge, since impact dents the tines and pushes the pitch further from the marked value.
