Steel Tuning Fork Pair with Wood Bases, 440Hz (One Adjustable)

This pair of steel tuning forks is mounted on individual wooden boxes, each tuned to approximately 440 Hz. One fork is provided with an adjustable mass that allows its frequency to be shifted from the nominal 440 Hz. When both forks are sounded simultaneously, a clearly audible beat is produced, with the beat rate depending on the frequency difference between the two forks. The set includes two nickel-plated forks with wooden bases and one mallet. The adjustable fork allows for controlled demonstrations of beat frequencies in physics classrooms. Note that these forks are designed for physics experiments and may not be exactly 440 Hz (typically ranging from 436-444 Hz). They can be adjusted to create beats or matched to each other.
