This ALNICO U-shaped magnet measures 50 x 13 x 10 mm with an 18 mm pole gap and is supplied with a keeper in a cardboard box. ALNICO (aluminum-nickel-cobalt) alloy provides a strong, permanent magnetic field with good temperature stability. U-shaped magnets are standard tools for physics demonstrations involving magnetic fields, attraction, repulsion, and electromagnetic induction. The keeper maintains magnetic strength during storage.
