This heavy-duty magnetizing and demagnetizing coil is a mounted solenoid measuring 250mm x 46mm (internal diameter), wound with insulated copper wire. The base is equipped with a switch and 4mm terminals. The operating voltage is 12V AC or DC at 6A.
The coil magnetizes specimens using either AC or DC current, and demagnetizes using AC only. Additional requirements (not included): AC/DC power supply (12V, 6A), magnetic needle, cylindrical bar magnet, and analogue multimeter. Suitable for physics experiments involving electromagnetism, magnetic field generation, and magnetic domain alignment.
