Product Description

This simple tangent galvanometer is a magnetic field measuring instrument consisting of a compass needle at the center of a coil of wire. When current flows through the coil, the magnetic field it produces deflects the compass needle by an angle proportional to the current. The tangent galvanometer demonstrates the relationship between electric current and magnetic field strength. Suitable for physics classrooms studying electromagnetism and magnetic field measurement.
