The Eisco Labs Glass Friction Rod is a 30cm long, 13mm diameter glass rod used to demonstrate the principles of static electricity. When rubbed with a friction pad such as wool, silk, fur, or cotton, the glass rod develops an electrostatic charge that can be transferred to electroscopes, pith balls, and other static electricity demonstration apparatus.
