Product Description

This friction rod is made from Perspex (acrylic) and measures approximately 30 cm in length and 13 mm in diameter. Perspex rods are used in electrostatic experiments, where rubbing the rod with a cloth generates a positive static charge on the rod surface. The acrylic construction makes this rod a standard component in physics classroom demonstrations of static electricity, triboelectric charging, and electrostatic attraction and repulsion.
