Product Description

This conical conductor consists of a polished brass cone measuring 10cm in height by 5cm in diameter, mounted on a metal base with an ebonite insulator. The insulating base allows charge to be retained on the cone for electrostatic experiments. Well suited to demonstrations of charge distribution on conductors, including the classic result that charge accumulates most densely at points of greater curvature. A useful companion piece for electrostatics work with friction rods and electroscopes.
