This Hollow Cylinder Electrostatics Demonstration Apparatus shows that an electrostatic charge resides only on the outer surface of a conductor. Two pith balls are suspended inside the metal cylinder and another pair on top. When the cylinder is charged, the outer balls diverge while the inner balls remain unaffected, providing visual proof of the surface-only charge distribution. The metal cylinder measures 2 inches in diameter and 4 inches long, mounted on an insulating rod attached to a 4-inch diameter base. The complete apparatus stands 11.75 inches tall. Suitable for physics classrooms studying electrostatics and conductor behavior.
